Week of May 15-19
This is our final week in 4th grade! Your children have worked hard to achieve both academic and social gains that have prepared them for promotion. I am very proud of each of them who bring different backgrounds to share in our classroom that enriches multiplicity and encourages collaborative learning with Christ at the center of their school day. Thank you for allowing me the honor to teach your children in such a wonderful Catholic-Christian environment found at St. Mary's.
All library books and fines are due to the library by Monday, May 15th. Please remind your child to bring their library books back to school on Monday.
Wednesday, May 17th is our award's assembly that will begin at 2 p.m. I will be awarding students with earned certificates of achievement for their scholastic and earned community service attainments this school year.
Thursday is Color Games, and 4th grade will be combined with 5th grade students to complete in several categories. Please ensure your children dress for spirit day to be prepared to compete. They've been given an exception for Mass clothes due to the event that day.
Friday we will be having a fun day in class with a party to celebrate the end of school. I understand that many parents have signed up to bring food items that day for a brunch students will savor. We'll enjoy some outdoor play and prepare all school supplies that will be coming home after school that day.
Final Exam Schedule:
Monday, May 15th - Math
Tuesday, May 16th - Language Arts and History
Wednesday, May 17th - Science
Homework: Students should study for semester exams.
