We are excited to announce that SMCS is kicking off a Catholic Schools Sweepstakes raffle today! This raffle is new to our school and will be taking place of the raffle done in years past. It will be a great opportunity for the school to raise money to go towards playground beautification and continued technology updates. Our school goal is to sell 2,500 tickets. This means that if each family sells 15 or 16 tickets we will surpass our goal and easily make over $12,000 for the school!
The tickets are only $5, and 100% of ticket sales will be ours to keep! In addition to helping the school raise money, those who purchase tickets could win some really fabulous prizes:
The grand prize winner gets to choose from these three items:
*A 2013 truck or
*A 2013 sedan or
*A $20,000 prepaid VISA credit card
Other awesome prizes include:
*4 prepaid VISA credit cards with values of $2,500
*10 prepaid VISA credit cards with values of $1,000
*15 prepaid VISA credit cards with values of $500
*15 Kindle readers
In addition to the cool raffle drawing prizes you could win, the student body has the opportunity to earn a whole school ice cream party during Catholic Schools Week if we sell all 2,500 tickets! We will also be doing random drawings from our collection of sold ticket stubs. Students drawn will get a free dress down pass and a free pizza coupon from Papa Murphy’s!
Some ideas for selling tickets are:
*Sell them to family members, friends, and co-workers
*Ask your priest if you can wear your uniform to Mass on Sunday and sell them here
*Sell them around your neighborhood
Please try to sell all your tickets by December 14th. The drawing will take place during Catholic Schools Week in January! Tickets can be picked up from Mrs. Vargas in the office. If, for some reason, you cannot sell your tickets, please return them to the office so that other families can try to sell them. Don’t be the family that prohibits us from reaching our goal! Ticket stubs and money collected can be turned into the school office as well.
Thanks, in advance, for working together to support St. Mary’s Catholic School!
