Steve Loos As a military child, I was born in Germany but spent most of my formative years being raised in Sioux Falls, SD. I joined the military in 1991 and traveled all over the world but came to Texas as soon as I could.
My wife, Krissy, is a lifetime member of St. Mary Church - Temple, and I joined as soon as we married. Even though the military moved us around, we continued to be contributing members of St. Mary Church and the school
Krissy and I have five children, Maeghan (29 years), who is married and has given us a fur-baby, Athena, Chris (25 years), Mary (21 years) lives in San Marcos attending ACC and Texas State University, Katelynn (20 years) lives in Virginia attending Virginia Tech and is a member of the ROTIC, and Abigail (10 years) who currently attends St. Mary’s School. We also have Harley, an aging English Bulldog, Ronin, a still energetic middle-aged Bichon Friese, and Bella, a young and energetic black Labrador Retriever.
After retiring from the US Army in 2018, we moved back to Temple, my adopted hometown, and I now work as a Financial Advisor with a company called First Command. I volunteer as much as I can. I have been the Chairperson of the St. Mary Church Picnic Committee. I am currently the Chairperson of St. Mary Church Santa Pal Program and I usher frequently at St. Mary Church Mass. I am a member and officer of the Knights of Columbus 3444 Temple chapter and currently serve as the Lector and Newsletter Editor. Outside of St. Mary Church and School, I volunteer at various fundraising activities for the SPJST Lodge and the Mission Accomplished in Killeen, Texas.
