To celebrate the Advent Season, second graders excitedly hosted a bake sale. From advertising with homemade signs and making announcements over the loudspeaker, to making and selling the treats, and counting the money raised, students were actively involved in all aspects of this service project. Thanks to the generosity of families, students, faculty, and staff, the bake sale raised $433.79. Students worked with a partner to select toys to donate to CASA (Court- Appointed Special Advocate) who work with children in foster care. Students selected toys such as games, books, stuffed animals, cars, action figures, dolls, baby toys, and Legos.
Second graders partnered with fourth graders to make 100 lunches for Feed My Sheep to distribute to those in need in our community. Each lunch contained two sandwiches, banana, chips, and dessert. Students enjoyed working together to serve our community.
