Hello Parents!! This week we will be leading to the Texas Revolution. Reminder to please have permission slips and money into the office. If ordering t-shirts your money needs to be in by Monday. I am so grateful for so many parent volunteers to go on the field trip. But due to limited spots only a few people were chosen. The office will be in contact with you for those parents. Hello Parents!! Your students has begun the South America unit. They are embarking on an exciting project with a partner over a South American Country. Students were given a list of supplies on Thursday to bring to class on Monday. They will have class time this entire week to devote to their project. The finish product is Due November 6th. We will be pairing up with Mrs. Mendoza on this project as well. Students were given a project expectation sheet on Friday. Hello Parents!! This week we will be taking our Revolutionary War Exam on Tuesday. Students will participate in Jump Rope for Heart on Wednesday. Thursday we will be discussing the Early Republic. Please encourage your students to study. There are materials on the google classroom as well as the review we will be completing on Monday. THERE WILL BE NO CORRECTIONS MADE ON THIS TEST. As the year progresses so do our wonderful students. To prepare them for next semester, corrections will be made when deemed absolutely necessary. The Revolutionary War Exam will be 30 multiple choice questions. Only 25 count against them and students may choose 5 questions as bonus points. Please click on this link to read this weeks schedule. Hello! This week we will be finishing the American Revolution and discussing the Constitution. Your students will also be making their own class constitution at the end of the week. Students will have a major exam Wednesday 10/24. It will cover the entire American Revolution Unit. Review packets will be given out this Wednesday. Hello! This week we are finishing the Spanish Colonial period and moving on to the Mexican National Period. The interesting time in history where Mexico gained its independence from Spain. Students will have an exam on Tuesday. There will be two quizlets for them to study from at home. We will also review in class tomorrow. Have a blessed week.

Hello Parents!! We are in the Spanish Colonial period currently and learning about Missions in San Antonio. A great topic to discuss at home with your students is how the Catholic faith shaped Texas as we know it today. I am in the process of planning a field trip to the Alamo in November. I will need parent chaperones and drivers so please email me or place it on the field trip form. I will have the exact date for you when the Alamo tour director gets back in touch with me.
