Hello, Parents!! This week is ITBS testing and we will be focusing on reading about conflicts in colonies. We will also be working on our project over the colony assigned to your student. This week will be very lax academically as it is testing week. No homework or tests will be given. The project will be due Monday 25th of September. The outline for the project is in the newsletter below.

Hello Parents!! This week we will be continuing the 13 colonies. Students will have an exam on Friday containing information about the explorers in the age of exploration, as well as the 13 colonies. Students should continue working on their colonial project at home. The due date has been pushed back due to the week of testing. The new date is Monday September 25th.

Hello Parents!! This week we are having our Unit 1 exam on Tuesday. Students were given the chance to complete a review and we will be playing a review game in class together on Monday. This week we will be looking into the Age of Contact. When the Native American's first came into contact with Spanish Explorers in Texas.

Hello Parents! This week we have a big unit exam on Tuesday. Students will be given the opportunity to retake the exam if needed on Wednesday morning or Wednesday during lunch. Hello Parents!! I hope you all had a great labor day weekend! This week in Texas History your student will be presenting their group regions of Texas project on Tuesday. We are focusing on Early Texas with the Native American groups who first settled in Texas. This is Chapter 4 in their textbooks.

Hello Parents!! I hope your student and you had a great labor day weekend! This week we will be focusing on the 13th colonies which will be our primary focus for this week and next week. Students will learn all about Jamestown, Middle Colonies, Southern Colonies, New England Colonies, and more. We will be implementing flipped classroom this week where your student will watch some videos online and be prepared to do an activity in class the next day. Our major test date is going to move back a week as I would like the colonies to be a part of that exam. Students will be given a review to complete before hand. There will be a review sent home on Thursday for your student to use in order to study. The following Monday we will be playing a review game in order to prepare for the exam.
