Hello Parents!! This week we will be continuing our African unit. Our test over this Unit is tentatively scheduled for April 5th. If any changes should arise my web page will be updated. Hello Parents!! I hope you have had a great weekend so far. This week we will be wrapping up reconstruction and cattle kingdoms in Texas. Our test will be on Tuesday. Please remind your students to look over their vocabulary and guided notes to study. Blessings, Mrs.Martin

Hello Parents!! Due to my child being sick I was unable to be in the classroom on Friday. The research portion of the project packet will be posted on Monday. This week we will be focusing on individual research over the civil war. Students will be assigned a topic. This week will be a short week due to walking for education and Easter holiday. Hello Parents! I hope you had a wonderful spring break with your children. This week we are leading into the Civil War and speaking about our 4th Quarter Project which will take us into May. Students will be receiving their group assignments this week. Their project package will be given to them on Monday 3/26. We will be focusing on literary understanding of the text as well as building vocabulary in order to be successful on our project. A copy of the project description as well as the packet will be posted on my website this coming weekend. Have a great week! There will be a quiz on Friday 3/23 over what we have learned this week. Hello Parents! Welcome back, I hope you had a restful spring break with an abundance of family time with your children. This week we are focusing on Reconstruction after the Civil war in Texas. There will be no tests this week. There will be a test next week on Wednesday 3/28 over what we learn this week. Students will have a guided note packet over each era to study. Hello Parents, I hope you have had a restful spring break! Over the few weeks our 6 graders will be focusing on the continent of Africa. Please stay tuned for quiz/test dates. Students homework this week will be practice identifying nations in Africa and reviewing notes taken in class. I recommend at least 10 minutes of map practice a night. Have a great week!
