Hello Parents!! The 7th grade students have created a interest group to lobby the administration for certain privileges and extras. Their signed petitions will be due on Monday. Their test over state and local government will be on Tuesday May 8th. We are winding down towards the end very quickly. If I have not said it enough I want each of you to know what a blessing your child is to my classroom. It has been a great year and I look forward to seeing the 7th graders become the responsible 8th graders I know they can be. Blessings, Mrs. Martin
Hello parents!! Our 8th grade students will start the preparation for their final exam in history. We are going to review test taking strategies and different questions starting from the chapter over the North and ending with Reconstruction. Your students will be provided with a study guide on Monday May 7th. I am also available for tutoring in the morning between 7:15- 7:45 am or certain days in the afternoon. If your student would like the opportunity to study with me during one of these times please have them let me know at a minimum of the day before so I make sure to arrive early to my classroom. Thank you so much for such a wonderful year with your 8th graders. We are in the home stretch and I look forward to watching them become mighty high school students. Blessings, Mrs. Martin
Hello Parents! There will not be one last test before final exams in its place the students will be writing a one page essay over either Japan, North Korea, South Korea, or Indonesia for that test grade. This essay will be a competition between both 6A and 6B. The top 8 places will be given a ice cream party in my classroom. The finalized results will be posted on my web page May 21st. The ice cream party will take place May 22nd during lunch in my classroom. We will be continuing our discussion about the four countries listed above and starting our preparation for final exams. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at cmartin@stmarys-temple.org. It has been a wonderful year teaching your children. Blessings, Mrs. Martin
