Religion Monday - Friday
Monday | Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration is worship, and God is the only one we should worship. And since Jesus is God, and He is present to us in the Eucharist, we can worship Him in the Eucharist. |
Tuesday | Mass 8:15-9:00 Students will discuss what the Homily was about and what they think it means. How does it relate to what we are doing today? |
Wednesday | Jesus died on the Cross, a soldier pieced His side with a spear to make sure that He was dead. When the soldier pierced Jesus' side, blood and water flowed out of the wound. This moment is a symbol of the beginning of church. This moment symbolizes Jesus literally pouring Himself out for our salvation from sin. |

Friday | The Church is made up of many different members, each an important part of the Body of Christ. We share Jesus' love and mercy with others. WE are Jesus present in the world today. |
ELA Monday - Friday
Monday | No new spelling words! This week we will be reviewing concepts from Units 31-35; r-controlled vowels, digraphs: sh, th, ch, wh, trigraphs: tch, compound words, and applying patterns to new words. |
Tuesday | Negatives: A Negative is a word that means "no." The words never, not, nothing, and nowhere are negatives. The words can't, don't, and other contractions made with not are also negatives. EX: The theme park is not open yet. I can't wait to go away. Do not use two negatives together in a sentence. Take out one negative or replace the negative with any, ever, anything, anywhere, or anyone. Incorrect: I can't pack no more in the car. Correct: I can't pack more in the car. I can't pack any more in the car. |
Wednesday | Student's will begin a new unit introducing Vocabulary Words. Student's will be able to read a fairy tale with the new words, match the meaning/complete sentences, as well as use the words in context and create their own stories. |
Thursday | COLOR GAMES! |
Friday | Six Syllable Types: The six common types of syllables found in words include: 1. Open Syllables 2. Close Syllables, 3. Consonant+le Syllables, 4. Vowel Team Syllables 5. r-Controlled Vowel Syllables, 6. Final e Syllables. |
