It Takes A Community To Raise A School Supporters of all types, including parents, extended family members, parishioners, and businesses, make our school possible by generously giving their time, talent, treasure, and prayers to SMCS.
Time: School families are asked to volunteer 25 hours of service to the school throughout the year. These volunteer hours help the school maximize the use of its faculty and minimize headcount. Grandparents, extended family, and parishioners are welcomed and encouraged to get involved at the school as well.
Talent: St. Mary’s Catholic School is blessed with talented and skilled supporters. Volunteers aid in countless ways to help the school run smoothly, offering their expertise in technology, classroom, lunchroom, and library support.
Treasure: Supporters generously provide the financial resources to make our school a success and keep it operating on a balanced budget. All families are asked to support the Annual Appeal first and foremost and to support other important, but voluntary, programs at their own interest level and discretion.
Prayers: Last but not least, your gift of prayer is powerful and necessary. Please pray for:
Our School Advisory Board: That God will support, love, and guide them; that they will be open to God’s will and will make wise decisions on behalf of our students and school community.
Our Students: That God will keep them close to Him and love them actively; that He will give them the desire to know, love, and follow Him, and that He will bless their work, their play, their sports, and their spirits.
Our Teachers, Coaches, Staff, and Administrators: That God will support, love, and guide them as they do the same for our children physically, academically, and spiritually; That they will be active Christian role models for our children, and nurture the very best in them.
All St. Mary’s Catholic School Families: That God will bless us with a true sense of community, that we will support one another in our efforts to model Christian values and morals for our children, and that we will strive always to uphold the Cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.
