Welcome !!! Back. It is my pleasure to introduce myself as
Vandna Guleria and this is my fourth year teaching Science at St. Mary's. It is crucial for kids to start developing their thought process early on towards carving out their future careers in the field of science. I will put all my effort in making this subject interesting so that they will enjoy learning.
This year we are having an amazing group of kids and I have high hopes that they will be doing well in this academic year. My agenda is to thoroughly teach them in class and assign minimum homework. In addition, they just have to spend 15-20 minutes a day towards revision at home.
There are certain things which I would like to give a heads on for the students 1) Students are expected to participate in daily class activities, complete class work reports or other projects on time 2) There will be a test after completion of each chapter 3) The homework assignments should be completed on time or 10 points will be deducted for late submission. The late submission will only be accepted no later than one day after the due date. After that day no home work will be accepted and the score will be marked as zero. In case of unavoidable circumstances parent note is required.
Grading Criteria
Oral participation/activities/Quiz 25%
Homework/Class work 25%
Class Test 50%
All scores on tests and assignments will be based on 100 points.
Things required for class: 1) Science text book (will be allocated to students and should be returned at the end of the school session).
